Deborah Steinborn is an award-winning bilingual freelance journalist in Germany. She creates, writes and manages content for internationally known media groups. She is also a frequent guest speaker and moderator on subjects related to economics, diversity and higher education.

As a reporter and author, Deborah covers the intersection of economics, politics and society. She has covered stories in more than 30 countries, and her work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Die Zeit, Financial Times, The Christian Science Monitor, Business Week, Cambodia Daily, Forbes Magazine and World Policy Journal, among others.

She co-authored Anders Denken! Warum die Ökonomie weiblicher wird, about women in the world economy. The book was shortlisted for the 2013 German Business Book of the Year Award. 

Deborah’s German media clients include Die Zeit. She is editor-in-chief of Zeit Germany, a line of English-language magazines published globally, which she developed for the newspaper group in 2017. She also works for Forbes Magazine on the production of its annual World’s Billionaires ranking.
